That means more goals for the year. I\u2019ve got such a large to-do list this year, as I\u2019m planning on finishing a few projects. I also want to do a blog post a week like I was doing before the holidays.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019ve made a Bingo sheet for my goals, and hopefully I will finish the whole thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-rt.googleusercontent.com\/docsz\/AD_4nXfKT2MR-8QkKQxE7kXU4R3qx_TRPbQTymSNssFXaYGB2yFkhOrZpi-ems99nv2ObKNd3XlB-C8Oi5kpQ6-2PXcpIoD10eWSGQAnQk0VfPkXyoHJyyc7pNeEtMU2OhMmUso7umKxZQ?key=TgYKP1SXM4zYSBUHUYk36NS9\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A lot of my goals remain the same as they have in previous years, such as: Reading 3 books a quarter and writing 120k words throughout the year.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Projects<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the Shadows: my fanfic. I won\u2019t be posting this with any account associated with me, because it\u2019s a fairly controversial ship. But I\u2019m excited for it, all the same.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To the Sky: my sky pirate x princess novel. I plan to commission the cover for this in the summer, so I need to have it completely drafted and edited by then. I finished the draft last year, and it\u2019s running through beta readers right now.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sandalwood: my witch x demon novel. I\u2019ve tried editing it a few times, but I\u2019m hoping to get it ready for beta readers this year.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Her Demons: again, witch x demon novel. This one should be completely finished and ready for beta readers this year, too.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Smitten: the sequel to Her Demons. I want to draft this one this year alongside editing the first book.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inertia: a vampire novel. This one takes place in the same universe as Sandalwood and Her Demons, but is in a different city. I\u2019ll be writing this one mostly without an outline\u2014just notes for things as I think of them. I want the first draft finished this year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Reading<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>On top of reading 3 books a quarter for 12 books in the year, I want to read through <a href=\"https:\/\/app.thestorygraph.com\/reading_challenges\/c8c604d8-ce97-4fde-87f0-1a74e9665395\">The Writing Cartel Storygraph Reading Challenge<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>January: <\/strong>Read a book with your favorite color on the cover<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>February:<\/strong> Read a book written by a minority author<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>March:<\/strong> Read a book with other media based on it<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>April:<\/strong> Read a book by a Writing Cartel member<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>May:<\/strong> Read a book published in your birth year\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>June: <\/strong>Read a book that was once an oral story<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>July:<\/strong> Read a book in a genre you write<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>August:<\/strong> Read a book written during your favorite era of human history<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>September: <\/strong>Read a book based on a fanfiction<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>October:<\/strong> Reread a book that inspired your writing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>November:<\/strong> White Elephant Book Exchange<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>December:<\/strong> Read a Writing Cartel book club book<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019m currently reading <a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodreads.com\/book\/show\/60774117-broken-sky\"><em>Broken Sky<\/em><\/a> by Morgan K. Bell. I\u2019m hoping to finish it soon, so I can move onto more books. Watch for a review as soon as I\u2019m done with it and I\u2019ve worked out my thoughts on it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Misc<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reboot Aescasia: My <a href=\"https:\/\/peginc.com\/product\/savage-worlds-adventure-edition-core-rules-pdf-swade\/\">SWADE<\/a> homebrew campaign. I talked to my players, and we\u2019ve all decided to reboot it, so here goes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Horror SWADE Game: I picked up the <a href=\"https:\/\/peginc.com\/product\/horror-companion-swade\/\">SWADE Horror Companion<\/a>, read through it, and now I want to run a horror-based game. It won\u2019t be a long one, because I can\u2019t run two campaigns and still get work done. But it\u2019ll be fun, either way\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Game Jams: Game jams are events run on <a href=\"http:\/\/itch.io\">itch.io<\/a> where the goal is to make a video game in a certain timeframe while adhering to a theme. This year I\u2019ll be participating in <a href=\"https:\/\/itch.io\/jam\/pirate\">Pirate Software &#8211; Game Jam 16<\/a>, one of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCYbK_tjZ2OrIZFBvU6CCMiA\">Brackeys<\/a>\u2019 jams, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCqJ-Xo29CKyLTjn6z2XwYAw\">GMTK<\/a>\u2019s jam. I might do more, but these are the three I absolutely want to do. I\u2019ll be on a team with my husband and roommate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Get a Literary Agent: This is my biggest dream goal this year. I\u2019d love to be represented by someone, and to get the ball rolling on getting <em>Serenity <\/em>published<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>2025 is full of things I want to accomplish. Hopefully, I can fill out the whole bingo sheet.
