Magic is banned in Winderia as it’s the closest location to The Everreach where Vapors—ghosts, imps, and worse—reside and occasionally pour from to disrupt the world. 

Princess Tessa has grown up in Windfall, the capital of Winderia, and is expected to marry soon as her aging father wants a successor. Since Tessa has been reluctant up to now to find a proper husband, her parents announce her engagement to Lord Xensor, the king’s advisor. Tessa is distraught and runs away from home.

Meanwhile, Captain James finds himself at a job auction where the auctioneer offers up a job from the royal family—confidential, of course, but there are whispers of the missing princess. James jumps on this one with images of the grateful princess dancing through his mind. 

Craven is sent in secret by Lord Xensor to bring Tessa home, too. Maybe ransom her back to the royal family and make Lord Xensor look useful. 

Will Captain James get to Tessa first? Will they fly away and have all the adventures in the world? Or will Craven catch her and bring her back to marry the evil Lord Xensor?
